Know yourself, said Socrates. Well, do you?
Here’s a list of twelve questions that might help you begin the process of self-discovery and self-knowledge. Sit down with a pen and a notebook. Turn on some music in the background. Go ahead. Take a few sips of your coffee or tea. Get comfortable. For the next hour or so, write out your answers contemplating on your own thoughts.
- Who are you? How do you answer this question in 140 characters?
- What is your biggest fear?
- What makes you happy?
- What do you want to do before you die?
- What would you do today if you are going to die tomorrow?
- What is your purpose in life? What is your life about?
- How do you want others to remember you after you die? What do you want your epitaph to say?
- Who is your favorite superhero? Why?
- What is the last thing you want to tell your children, friends and family?
- What do you love to do?
- What do you feel qualified to teach others?
- If money is not a problem for you, how do you want to serve and help others?
