Know yourself, said Socrates. Well, do you?

Here’s a list of twelve questions that might help you begin the process of self-discovery and self-knowledge. Sit down with a pen and a notebook. Turn on some music in the background. Go ahead. Take a few sips of your coffee or tea. Get comfortable. For the next hour or so, write out your answers contemplating on your own thoughts.

  1. Who are you? How do you answer this question in 140 characters?
  2. What is your biggest fear?
  3. What makes you happy?
  4. What do you want to do before you die?
  5. What would you do today if you are going to die tomorrow?
  6. What is your purpose in life? What is your life about?
  7. How do you want others to remember you after you die? What do you want your epitaph to say?
  8. Who is your favorite superhero? Why?
  9. What is the last thing you want to tell your children, friends and family?
  10. What do you love to do?
  11. What do you feel qualified to teach others?
  12. If money is not a problem for you, how do you want to serve and help others?
